Common Questions

We believe that the 66-books within the Holy Bible which make up both the Old and New Testaments is the inspired word of God, the revelation of God’s will for salvation, and the divine and final authority for Christian faith and life. The words in the Bible are the very words God wanted recorded

(2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Exodus 34:27).

We believe in One God who eternally, simultaneously, and distinctly (yet still remaining one God) exists as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

(Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:19; Isaiah 43:10; Isaiah 44:6-8; Isaiah 45:5-6; Matthew 28:19;Ephesians 1:3; John 1:1-3; John16:13).

We believe that a believer is saved from moral decay, destruction, and eternal separation from God dependent only upon the grace of God through faith in the atoning sacrifice, burial, resurrection, and person of Jesus Christ which provides assurance of salvation

(Romans 5:9; 2 Thessalonians 2:10; Luke 13:3); John 1:12-13,John 3:3-7;1 Corinthians 3:16; Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians 12:13; Joel 2:28; Acts 10:44,46-48;Luke 24:49;Acts 2:4; Acts 11:15-17;19:6;Romans 2:29;Ephesians 1:13-14; John 13:35; 2 Timothy 1:7; Romans 6:22; James 2:26;Mark 8:34-36).

We believe that God gifts all people and uses both men and women in ministry, but each role has specific biblical requirements which may be gender specific

(Acts 20:28; 1 Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-9; Galatians 3:28; 1 Corinthians 11:2-16; 1 Timothy 2:11-15; 1 Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-9).

<p>

We believe that all must be born again in order to see and enter the kingdom of God and this is done by grace which leads us to repentance, faith, and acceptance of Jesus Christ. Biblically, it is only through Jesus that a person can be saved, sanctified, and justified
(Ephesians 1; 1 Corinthians 11; John 1:12;John 3).</p>

We believe that as a believer yields to the Holy Spirit, they will be filled with the Holy Spirit with accompanying signs and a very tangible, life changing, and supernatural prophetic experience as scripture suggests

(Joel 2:28.(John 1:12-13, John 3:3-7; 1 Corinthians 3:16; Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians 12:13; Joel 2:28; Acts 10:44, 46-48; Luke 24:49; Acts 2:4; Acts 11:15-17; 19:6;Romans 2:29; Ephesians 1:13-14; John 13:35; 2 Timothy 1:7; Romans 6:22; James 2:26; Mark 8:34-36).

We believe that grace through faith saves you, not the waters or any ritual.  However, we believe water baptism confirms ones faith, empowers one’s faith, and is a natural result of one’s faith.  So yes, you can receive the Holy Spirit and be saved prior to water baptism.  But saved people get water baptized because they desire both their Spirit and body and whole being to be obedient to Christ and immersed in Christ.  Baptism is an answer of a good conscience to God and an identification with Christ.

(1 Peter 3:21; Romans 6; Matthew 28:18-20; John 3:3,5;Acts 10-11; Acts 16:31-32; Acts 2:38).
